Our Providers and Practitioners

The practice was established September of 2003 by Drs. Tim and Pam Wratchford to give comprehensive care to the entire family. Christen  joined the practice in August 2012 with the same philosophy and mission.

Pamela Wratchford, MD

Originally from South Florida, Dr. Pamela Wratchford, known as “Dr. Pam,” has called Virginia her home since 2003. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University located in Nashville Tennessee. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami. Dr. Wratchford completed her Family Practice residency at the West Virginia University. While at WVU she was a team physician for the NCAA sports teams. Her interests include women’s health and sports medicine. She is board certified member of the American Academy of Family Practitioners. Outside of work, Dr. Wratchford enjoys running and spending time with her family.

Timothy Wratchford, MD

A West Virginia native, Dr. Timothy Wratchford, known as “Dr. Tim,” has lived in the Richmond area since 2003. He received his Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from West Virginia University. He continued on at West Virginia University to complete his Pediatric/Internal medicine residencies. He is board certified by both the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Society of Internal Medicine. Dr. Wratchford is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honor Society. During his free time, Dr. Wratchford enjoys golf, fishing and spending time with his family.

  kbw Kimberly B. Walker, MD

Originally from Northern Virginia, Dr. Walker has lived in Richmond for over twenty years. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia, and her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia where she received the AD Williams Award and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She went on to complete her Family Medicine residency through the Medical College of Virginia Hanover Family Physicians Residency Program. Her areas of interest include Women’s Health and Adolescent Medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with her family, running, and volunteering for the Hanover Humane Society.

chpChristen Proffitt, FNP

A Virginia native, Christen received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1997 and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Johns Hopkins University in the spring of 2000 and her Masters in nursing from the University of Virginia in the spring of 2003. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Virginia. Before joining Ashcake Family Physicians, Christen has worked with patients of all ages and backgrounds in the family practice setting as well as a range of conditions, from acute illnesses to disease management to general wellness care. In her free time, Christen enjoys running and spending time with her husband and three girls.
